All Websites Need a Privacy Policy (as low as $5/month!)
Privacy Builds Trust. Trust builds customers. Online shoppers are naturally wary of transactions and forms requiring their personal information and email so establishing strong privacy practices is a great way to help close that gap of uncertainty and potential mistrust. One of the best ways to build trust is to advertise your privacy policy to signal to consumers the strength of your commitment to their privacy.
An accurate, up-to-date privacy policy is critical when trying to build trust and confidence with your customers. In fact, privacy has become so important that there are now several state and federal laws and standards, along with a number of independent initiatives to help online businesses improve the quality and accuracy of their privacy policies and procedures. Privacy policies not only create trust, they also create higher website conversion rates (sales).
NOTE: If you have "form" pages on your website that collect any information, you should ALWAYS have a link to your privacy policy on your form pages. Some states require this by law. We can add this for you on your website and form pages.
We use and recommend TRUSTe privacy services. For over a decade, TRUSTe has shown thousands of businesses--from leading brands like Microsoft, IBM, and eBay to smaller start-up Web sites--the advantages of protecting consumer privacy.
Here are a few companies that use TRUSTe privacy policy.
- In a competitive market, increasing user engagement and your online sales depends on customer trust and online credibility

- 79% of consumers are concerned about unauthorized access to their personally identifiable information (July 2010. "Consumers & Convergence IV" KPMG)
- Some states require a privacy policy by law. California Online Privacy Protection Act of 2003. Requires commercial sites to have a privacy policy describing data collection and use for any site accessible to California residents
- Businesses who copy-paste from other privacy policies, or use free privacy policy templates or samples on the Internet usually end up with privacy policies that fail to fully and/or accurately describe their business practices.
- Regulators view your privacy policy as a legally binding agreement between you and your customers - you can't afford inaccuracy.
